   Members can be billed using any billing company capable of providing recurring billing services. For healthcare providers processing fewer then 3,000 membership monthly we recommend that membership billing be done by recurring credit card or electronic checking (ACH). Member Billing Options   1. Checking account recurring billing is generally less expensive then credit card recurring billing. The added benefit of ACH billing is checking accounts don’t expire like credit cards.       
2. Credit card recurring billing is more popular with clients. However it costs more to do recurring billing by credit card. Credit card recurring billing also requires the provider to contact the member to update expiring credit cards. 3. Mailing bills is the most expensive way to process billing. Providers and governments processing more then 3,000 monthly memberships can use manual mail billing. The processing cost for manual billing ranges from .50-.60 cents per item outgoing mail processing. 4. Email billing is available for providers and governments with independent CHS Life systems. CHS Life will automatically send an email bill to each client paying manually. This is still more expensive then automated billing but less expensive then regular mail. 5. Tax revenue can be used by governments to pay healthcare membership fees.
